Birdwatching in Morocco

Morocco is a birdwatchers paradise, with 414 species of which 210 are regular breeders. October to May is probably the best time for the widest range of migrants and residents to be observed.

One of the best places in Morocco for watching birds in the Souss Massa nation park. For more detail see our Souss Massa national park page.

Another good location for bird watching is the lagoon at Oualidia that hosts pink flamingo’s, storks and waders.
