Day 1: Casablanca
Upon arrival in Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco, you will be met and taken to your Casablanca hotel. You will visit the city, including an optional visit to the Hassan II, one of the world’s biggest mosques Outside of Mecca.
Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen
After breakfast, you will leave towards Chefchaouen, the famous blue city of Morocco in the Rif Mountains. On route, you will stop at Rabat, the capital city and residence of the King, for lunch and a time to enjoy the beautiful coastal city. After lunch you will continue on to Chefchaouen for the night. Dinner will be served in the hotel.
Day 3: Chefchaouen Tour
After breakfast, you will have a tour of this “cool” blue town, tucked away in the mountains. You will enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the Rif Mountains. Dinner will be served in the hotel.
Day 4: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Moulay Idriss – Meknes – Fes
After breakfast, you will set out in the morning to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. You will spend the morning exploring the 2000-year-old ruins and getting a picture of life during the Roman Empire. Visit also the holy city of Moulay Idriss. Lunch will be taken in Meknes one of Morocco’s Imperial cities. After lunch, your guide will take you on a tour of Meknes, and then you will head off to Fes, the cultural and spiritual capital of Morocco. Dinner will be served in the hotel
Day 5: Fes – Guided tour of the Medina
After breakfast you will begin our guided tour of the Fes medina, one of the world?s largest walled in cities. You will explore the narrow streets lined with fresh fruit, mounds of spices, intricately woven Berber carpets and many other art objects of Morocco. A visit to the King?s Palace, the tanneries, and potters are just a few places you will experience. For lunch you may choose to eat in a traditional restaurant in the heart of the medina. After lunch you will continue the tour and return to your riad for the evening.
Day 6: Fes – Atlas Mountains – Midelt – Erfoud
Depart Fes after breakfast and start heading to the famous South of Morocco. Visit the forested hillside city of Ifrane built in the 1930s to resemble a Swiss village, today a popular ski resort area. Then continue to Azrou, famous town for woodwork. Near Azrou you will also encounter in the cedar forests many colonies of Barbary apes that will keep you amused. Then continue towards Midelt, travelling through the spectacular Ziz Valley passing palm groves and green valleys. Then father South the scenery will change into the dry, desert looking.
Day 7: Erfoud – The Sahara Desert – Camel Trek
After breakfast in your Kasbah Hotel, you will start an explorative journey of the area; you will visit the nomads in their goat hair tent and learn about the desert life, afterwards you visit the Gnaoua people, originally slaves brought from Sudan, There play Gnaoua music, you will learn about them and enjoy their music. In the afternoon, you will head off in some 4-wheel drive vehicles across the barren land to the majestic Sahara sand dunes. You will set off by camel for a 2-hour trek out to the oasis where you will spend the night in Berber tents ***this could be optional if you would prefer to return to the hotel to sleep***
Day 8: Sahara Desert – Tinerhir – Todra Gorges – Dades Oasis
Wake early and climb a dune to sit or to take some nice pictures. Have a shower and after breakfast, transfer to Dades Gorge with a detour at Tinerhir famed with its beautiful palm grove, and Jewish quarter. Visit Todra Gorge, the highest oasis valley gorge in Morocco with 300m sheer cliffs and a mouth just 20m wide, Dades Gorge is next. Another great spot for trekking and climbing with the sheer coloured rock everywhere. Dinner and Overnight in a bueatiful Kasbah Hotel in Dades oasis.
Day 9: Dades Oasis – Roses Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After an early breakfast you set off to Marrakech via Ouarzazate. You will visit one of the jewels of Morocco – Kasbah Ait Benhaddou. In typical Moroccan fashion, the true treasures must be searched out and discovered usually off the beaten path. After lunch, you will head over the mountains to Marrakech.
Day 10: Marrakech – Marrakech Guided City Tour
After breakfast, you will have a guided tour of Marrakech, the southern pearl of Morocco. You will discover the Palace of the Bahia, the Saadian Tombs, and many other hidden treasures. After lunch, you will continue with the tour on to the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque and the famous Djemaa el-Fna, one of the center attractions of Marrakech. The tour will conclude with an exploration of the souk (market).
Day 11: Marrakech – Essaouira
After breakfast, you will set off to the coastal city of Essaouira, a picturesque fishing town, lying on the southwest coast of Morocco. With an exquisite beach to the south, Essaouira has become one of Morocco’s most popular coastal towns. Many of the country’s wood carvers and artists make Essaouira their home. Dinner will be served in the hotel.
Day 12: Essaouira
This will be a free day in Essaouira. Dinner will be served in the hotel.
Day 13: Essaouira – El Oualidya – El Jadida – Casablanca
Your last day of travel will take you back to Casablanca. You will leave Essaouira for Casablanca with a stop at El Oualidia on the way. We drive along the coastline to El Jadida where we visit the citadel and see the underground cistern. We then continue on to Casablanca, where we spend our last night in the country. Dinner will be served in the hotel.
Day 14: Casablanca – depart
You will be transferred to the airport for departure.
