These people know Morocco and knew the best local guides in every town we visited. “The Best of Morocco" travel service did an excellent job arranging and customizing our 16-day tour of Morocco. The trip included overnight stays in nine (9) different Moroccan cities and visits to all the "must-see" places in Morocco, including an overnight stay at a Sahara Luxury tented camp. Our driver and constant companion, Mahjoub Lendar, skillfully navigated us along numerous narrow and curvy highways and sometimes dirt roads for a total of slightly over 3,300 km. Despite the sometimes challenging roads and traffic, we always felt safe in Lendar's hands, because he was ever-vigilant and careful. He also would explain many of the things we would see along the way. His talents included the ability to speak four languages (Arabic, English, Spanish, and French).

Our accommodations mostly were in traditional Riads located in the town or city centers, usually in the ancient Medina sections. Although we were apprehensive when we approached our first couple Riads, located often in narrow alleyways, we soon found that the Riad doors opened into an opulent world of traditional Moroccan tiled floors and walls, intricately-carved wooden ceilings, quiet and well-appointed rooms, and friendly attentive staff. Comparing the Riads booked through "The Best of Morocco" with other Riads nearby, it became clear that our Riads were usually the most centrally located and best appointed of all the Riad options available.

Beyond these tour logistics, the one thing that we appreciated the most about our tour was continuous professional attention given to us by our tour coordinator, Youssef. Although we never met Youssef in person, he was always available by email or by telephone to ensure that every tour detail went smoothly. His help began when we first contacted "The Best of Morocco" to arrange and book our tour and continued throughout our entire time while we were in Morocco. During the booking process, he went out of his way to customize our tour by adding places to visit and by accommodating our requests for several Riad upgrades. He also sent us information about trustworthiness of "The Best of Morocco" to help assuage our concerns about the whole internet booking process. Then during our tour, he would contact us via the driver's phone and by email to find out how our tour was proceeding. Most impressively, every time we had a question or a request, he would respond immediately with a solution. For example, our booked tour had pre-arranged a local guide for us at only five of our scheduled tourist venues. However, when we asked Youssef about one of the other venues, he went ahead and pre-booked a local guide for us at that site, as well as two additional sites. We can truly say, based on having visited over 100 countries and having taken many tours, that Youseff is one of the very best tour coordinators we have ever engaged. He is a true professional, and through him, we enjoyed the best of Morocco.”
